I haven't posted since May 2nd. How pathetic. I've certainly thought about posting, but life has gotten crazy in the past few weeks. Harper Quinn has joined our family. She was born on 5/20/2010 at 12:18a.m. weighing 8lobs. 0oz, and 18.5 inches long. She's absolutely precious. We love having her around. Camden loves his role as "big brother" and is very protective of his sister. Hopefully things will calm down soon and I'll be able to get back to the blog, but for now I chase Camden, feed Harper, and try to stay on top of my house.

Nogueras Family Weekend
I'm already falling behind on this blog...
The Nogueras family had a pretty productive weekend. We took Camden to see the Richmond Flying Squirrels baseball game on Friday night. He had a blast! The vendors were dressed as different characters and the beer guy was "Peter Pan." Camden was hooked. Each time he didn't see him in the stands, he assumed he was off flying with Wendy somewhere. Sadly, the "King" who was selling hot dogs got pelted in the back with one of the foul balls and fell over in the stands. He was down for a while. He definitely got a standing ovation when he was able to get off the steps. Camden made friends with Christina, my department head's little girl. They sat, shared popcorn, and traded hugs and kisses throughout the game. We bumped into some old friends who were also excited to see Camden. All in all, it was a great game, and the Flying Squirrels won 2-0.
On Sunday we took Camden to the Children's Museum of Richmond (free for Bank of America account holders the first weekend of each month...SCORE!!!). Peter had never been. It was pretty empty, so Camden pretty much had the run of the place. He bounced from activity to activity for a couple of hours. It's really fun to see him get so excited about things. He enjoyed "picking apples" and the different water tables. He also loved digging for dinosaur bones and playing music outside. Later we met up with our friends Brian and Christine and enjoyed some BBQ at Buz and Ned's...DELICIOUS!
On the baby front, we were quite productive this weekend. The crib is set up, the bassinet is set up, and all of the gear is washed and ready to go. We still need to pack our bags though...we'll get there soon enough. I have my next appointment tomorrow afternoon. I'll keep you posted if there are any changes.
Sorry to say I don't have any pics for this post. Hopefully next time. :o)

"Camdenisms"
This post is probably more for me than for any of you. I've decided that it would be a good idea to write down a few of the new things Camden is saying and doing before I forget them myself.
Let's see...yesterday we were driving up the highway (I know...what a surprise) and we passed a logging truck. I pointed it out to Camden and said something about how the truck was carrying wood, and his response was, "the man (meaning the driver) is going to help build a house." How he made that connection, I'm not sure, but I was impressed.
He was also standing with his legs apart last night, looked down, back up at me, and exclaims, "Look Momma, I'm a triangle." It appears that he's picking up more and more each day. Sometimes it's hard to believe that he's only 27 months old...what a big boy!
I'm sure these stories really only appeal to me, but that's okay. :o)
In other news, Baby Girl Nogueras is growing on the fast track. It appears she may show up before her due date. I go back to the doctor's on Monday afternoon for my 36 weeks check up and will have more news after that.
Peter and I are enjoying our last few weeks as a family of three. Peter and Camden have been spending a lot of time out in the yard playing "catch." He's such a Daddy's boy.
I'll close with a couple of recent pics.
This is Camden's "baby." HIS name is "Baby Sister Coming Soon." And yes, he is dressed in a chicken costume.

"Stardust"
Tonight Camden informed me that his baby sister was going to be named, "Stardust." He then followed up with the options of "ketchup" or "chicken nuggets." It's a good thing we're not leaving the decision up to him! :o)

Welcome Aboard!
As I write this first post I'm already wondering how long I'll be able to keep this up. Now that Camden is 2 (and saying the darndest things), and we have a new baby on the way, I figured it was time to start blogging about the events of our lives here in VA. (Took me long enough...I know). Spring break seems as good a time as any to begin, so here we go.
We took Camden to the circus in Richmond last night. I think it was the best night of his life so far. He was absolutely in love with the elephants (he managed to bring a souvenir one home with him), and the pirates, tigers, motorcycles, and clowns. I found out when we got there that it was Peter's first trip to the circus too. While I don't think it was the same sense of magic for him, I do believe he enjoyed the motorcycles, acrobatics, and the look of sheer joy on Camden's face. I'm pretty sure this could turn into a yearly Nogueras family event.
In other news, Camden moved into his new "big boy bedroom" this week. The transition went even better than I expected. We don't have anything up on the walls yet, but all of his toys have moved in (yay I have a living room again), and he has his new train bed set. He's really liking the idea of being a "big boy."
Uncle Dave was visiting and helping Peter with some work downstairs (and even mowed the lawn for us-go Uncle Dave), so Camden and I had a date out to the movies. We went to see "How to Train A Dragon." Camden loved it. He's still talking about Hiccups and Toothless (the dragon). I really like that Camden is starting to be able to do more. Of course, as he's doing more, we're starting over again in a month with another little one. We're all excited. As Camden says, "Baby sister coming soon!"
If I can figure out how, I'll post some pics for you here.
Happy Friday!
